Terms and Conditions

NEW LOYALTY PROGRAM COMMENCING 1st May 2026

These terms and conditions apply to your access to and use of the Abbey’s Cafe Loyalty Program and associated ordering platforms. This program is operated by Mitcha Pty Ltd T/A Abbey's Cafe ("we," "us," or "Abbey’s Cafe"). By using our App, online portal, or registering for a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.


1. Introduction & Usage

  • The Platforms: Use of the Abbey’s Cafe App (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) and our online ordering portal (order.abbeyscafe.com.au) constitutes acceptance of these terms.
  • Purpose: These platforms are provided for personal, non-commercial use to manage your loyalty account and place orders for pick-up from Abbey’s Cafe.
  • Licence: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use our digital platforms. We may terminate this licence or cease operating these platforms at any time.


2. Joining the Loyalty Program

  • Eligibility: You must be 14 years or older to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parent or guardian consent.
  • Registration: You may only register one account. You must provide your full name, email address, and an Australian mobile number. Verification via email or SMS is required to activate your membership.
  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity occurring under your account.


3. Earning and Redeeming Rewards

  • Our loyalty system allows you to earn Points which convert into Discount Dollars.
  • Earning Points: You will receive 1 point for every $1.00 spent on eligible products.
  • Points can be earned through the App, the online portal, and in-store.
  • Transactions are rounded to the nearest dollar ($0.50 and above rounds up; below $0.50 rounds down).
  • Redemption Rate: 75 points is equal to $5.00 in Discount Dollars.
  • Exclusions: Points cannot be earned or redeemed on specific items, including but not limited to: giftware and Gift Cards.
  • Expiry: Discount Dollars will expire after 12 months of account inactivity.
  • Non-Transferable: Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other accounts.


4. Ordering System

  • Guest Checkout: You may order as a guest by providing your name, email, and mobile number, but you will not earn loyalty points.
  • Accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring your order and selected store location are correct before submission.
  • Payment: Orders placed via the App or online portal must be paid in full at the time of ordering via credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other approved digital methods.
  • Cancellations & Refunds: Once an order is processed, it cannot be cancelled via the App. You must contact the store directly. All refunds are fulfilled in-store only.
  • Food Safety: Orders must be collected promptly. If food is not collected within a reasonable timeframe and its quality or safety deteriorates, the store may discard the item without a refund.


5. Promotions & Special Offers

  • Sign-Up Offer: New members may receive a complimentary reward. See section 8 for current special offers and promotions.
  • Birthday Treat: Members who have spent at least $1.00 in the 11 months prior to their birthday month are eligible for a free regular beverage, redeemable within their birthday month.
  • General: Current short term offers and promotions are listed under section 8 of these terms and conditions.
  • Availability: Not all in-store promotions are available via digital ordering.


6. Privacy & Communication

  • Data Usage: By registering, you consent to Abbey’s Cafe collecting your data to process orders and provide marketing communications (Email, SMS, Push Notifications).
  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails/SMS or through your device settings.
  • Location Services: Enabling location services helps us suggest the nearest cafe location but is not mandatory for manual store selection.


7. General Terms

  • Modifications: We may update these terms, our rewards structure, or the App interface at any time without prior notice.
  • Liability: To the extent permitted by law, Abbey’s Cafe is not liable for any technical disruptions, viruses, or loss resulting from the use of our digital platforms.
  • Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.


8. Current Promotions & Offers (Short Term)

  •  Download and register with our app to get $5.00 of your order, offer only available via the app for in app purchases.
